General Objective

The course serves as an articulating axis for the academic efforts of specialists in the area through a series of thematic lectures that serve as a vehicle to disseminate the knowledge produced in Mexico about the Asian nation. It seeks to establish a space for dissemination, discussion and reflection on the issues that define India in the political, economic, artistic and socio-cultural spheres. Thus building a better understanding of the characteristics, progress and problems that surround this country. Thus, it promotes the participation of national specialists from various academic institutions, along with a plural and critical dialogue between students, academics and the general public, interested in the analysis of contemporary India and its relevance in the international current affairs. All this, with the aim of influencing the personal and professional development of the attendees through the combination of theoretical and practical knowledge.

Admission Profile

Professionals and specialists from different disciplines belonging to the public or private sector, academics, undergraduate and graduate students and the general public related to the subject.

What is obtained at the end of the course?

Students who successfully complete the seminar will receive a certificate of participation.

Duration: from August 18 to October 20, 2021

Schedule: Wednesdays and Thursdays from 16:00 to 19:00 hrs.

Evaluación

3. Delivery of the final essay

  • The essay should be an argued reflection on one or more of the topics covered in the course, in order to help students in the construction of their own analysis. In case a topic is chosen from the modules Philosophy and Religion or Economics the skills learned in the corresponding workshops should be used.

Characteristics:

  • Arial or Times New Roman font, size 12, 1.5 line spacing.
  • Length between 2000 and 3000 words.

Structure:

  • Introduction (problem statement, purpose and research questions).
  • Development (academic argumentation)
  • Conclusions and sources consulted (academic, specialized, journals, governmental entities, materials submitted to an editorial process of opinion or peer review; avoid wikis or blogs and materials that do not have the above characteristics).
