General Objective

The seminar-workshop aims to provide chronologically articulated knowledge on the development of the Eurasian region in order to provide students with contextual references for the analysis of the political and economic processes taking place today in the region within the framework of the "One Belt One Road" initiative. Participants will learn how the Silk Road of the 21st Century implies paradigmatic changes in terms of interregional and international trade and infrastructure, challenging classic concepts of political science and economics.

To this effect, the course will cover in its content the historical, geographical, political and social composition of the ancient Silk Road, hoping that these elements will serve as a frame of reference to understand the contemporary social, political and economic phenomena that revolve around the idea of the Silk Road of the 21st century.

Admission Profile

Professionals from various disciplines with basic knowledge of the history of China, East Asia and regional studies, working in the public and private, national and international sectors with links or interests in China and the members of the Belt and Road Initiative.

What do I get upon completion?

Students who successfully complete the seminar-workshop will receive a certificate of participation.
