General objective
Offer actual and informed data on topics related to Iran's history, politics, literature, culture, and arts with the support of specialized speakers, Iranians, and Mexicans, to open a window to Iran for students, researchers and the general public, either to enrich their academic experience or to break with false media images and achieve a rapprochement between the cultures of Iran and Mexico through the disarticulation of prejudice. This course also seeks to offer a broader perspective of Iranian art and culture through some of its best film shows, applauded internationally, which at the same time reflect the social and political realities of this country.
Besides, from interaction with the public, we aim to:
- Consolidate a network of stakeholders on Iran and the Middle East issues
- Consolidate a bibliography of texts in Spanish that seriously address Iranian issues.
