University of California, Los Angeles

Lecturer in Persian language at the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to his arrival at UCLA in January 2023, he taught as Senior Lecturer in Persian language at the University of Oxford from 2015 to 2023. He has been involved in Persian language pedagogy at various levels since 2005. He received his PhD in 2020 in pre-modern Persian literature. His research focuses on the role of women in pre-modern Persian epic romance poetry.
