To understand the Twentieth and Twenty-First Centuries from a comparative perspective of postcolonial Mexico and the countries of the Global South through economic, political, social, and cultural similarities and differences with the countries in Asia and Africa, as well as their relations with the Global North through independence, modernization, accelerated industrialization, authoritarian governments, neocolonialism, democracy and justice, globalization and neoliberalism, populist governments, amongst other processes.

Diplomatic staff of the Embassies of Asia and Africa in Mexico, scholars, and students in and out of Mexico that looking for an understating of the Twentieth and Twenty-First Centuries through the culture and history. Foreign professionals whose activities require knowledge of Mexico's economics, politics, and social environment.
