2022 International Symposium on African Languages and Culture Studies – Focus on African Literature

Dear GAFSU members，

We invite you to join us in the “2022 International Symposium on African Languages and Culture Studies – Focus on African Literature”. It will take place on Saturday, November 12^th, 2022, both online (via Zoom) and on the BFSU campus as part of efforts to fulfill the GAFSU mission: to promote exchanges in foreign language teaching, research, and area studies.

In this Symposium, GAFSU members are invited to share your thoughts, knowledge, and expertise on various topics during the panel discussions, including:

1. African native languages and literature from a historical perspective

2. Interaction between African native languages and literature and English, French and Portuguese literature in Africa

3. Comparative Literature, Culture between China and Africa, and Translation Studies

4. Teaching and Interdisciplinary Studies of African native Languages and Please find attached the Confirmation Form for your attendance.

- Organizers: The Non-generic Languages Sub-Committee of the Foreign Language Teaching Council of the Ministry of Education of China, The Global Alliance of Foreign Studies Universities (GAFSU), and the School of African Studies of Beijing Foreign Studies University.
