He is a member of the Center for Eurasian Studies and a doctoral candidate in the graduate program in Social Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana. He is a lecturer at the School of Law and is a member of the editorial committee of the journal Muuch' xíimbal (Muximbal) of La Salle University.
