BA in International and Comparative Politics, American University of Central Asia, Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. Kemel served as the Director of Communications and Public Relations at the American University of Central Asia and has also worked at the UNDP and Tolerance International UK. Kemel’s research interests include regime security and the foreign policy of Central Asian states and the strengthening of research capacity and evidence-based policymaking in Afghanistan and Central Asia. His book, “Kyrgyzstan: Regime Security and Foreign Policy” was published by Routledge and is based on his PhD dissertation completed at the University of Exeter. Over the past 5 years, he has worked as an Associate Professor at the American University of Central Asia and as a Teaching and Research Fellow at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek.
