Fellow, Institute of Chinese Studies & Associate Editor, China Report. Fellow (Associate Professor) at the Institute of Chinese Studies, Delhi. He was previously Assistant Director of the Institute from 2011 to 2016. He holds a PhD in Chinese Studies from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and has spent time as a student and researcher in Taiwan, France and Singapore. Jacob’s research interests include ChinaSouth Asia relations, Indian and Chinese foreign policies in their near neighborhood, Sino-Indian border areas, and centre-province relations in China. Jacob is co-editor of a book each on India’s foreign policy and India-China relations.
