Bachelor’s in international Relations (Faculty of Political and Social Sciences, UNAM), Master in International Studies (Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea) and Doctor in International Relations (University of Sussex, United Kingdom). He is currently a researcher at the Regional Center for Multidisciplinary Research at the UNAM, where he participates in the program Global Change, Globalization and Development. He is a member of the National System of Researchers, level 2. His research topics are: political economy of international cooperation for development and the relationship of Asia Pacific and Latin America; comparative political economy in northeastern Asia; political economy of development in the case of South Korea and transnational corporations in Asia Pacific. He is the author of the book South Korea: political economy of institutional change. He has written several articles and book chapters on institutionalism, Korean political economy, as well as issues related to the mechanisms of economic cooperation in Asia Pacific.
