María Angélica Arce

Ambassador María Angélica Arce Mora holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in International Relations from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She joined the Mexican Foreign Service in 1981 and retired in 2020. During her diplomatic career she worked at the Permanent Missions of Mexico in Geneva (Switzerland) and New York, as well as at the Embassy of Mexico in Sweden. At the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she worked in the General Directorate for Latin America and the Caribbean, the General Directorate for North America, the General Directorate for the United Nations System and the Undersecretariat for Foreign Affairs. She was president of the Personnel Commission of the Mexican Foreign Service and Ambassador of Mexico to New Zealand and Morocco, concurrent to Ivory Coast, Guinea Bissau, Mali and Senegal. She is currently a PhD student in Political and Social Sciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
