Ex-Fulbright Visiting Professor, began his career in 1978, as an Academician in various capacities and stature, such as, Lecturer during 1978 to 1986, Reader during 1986 to 1998, Professor since July 1998; Dean during March 17, 2006 to July 16, 2008, in the Faculty of Commerce, and Officiated as Vice Chancellor during December 23 to 26, 2007, and from February 2, to February 6, 2008 and presently working as Full Professor in the Department of Commerce, Aligarh Muslim University, India. Prof. Iqbal was Member of University Court (Highest Body) and University’s Executive Council (Syndicate) for two years i.e., between March 2006 and March 2008. He was also the Member of Academic Council of the University. In 2010 he again has become a Member of University Court. In September 2011, Prof. Iqbal has been invited by SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry to speak on SAFTA at SAARC Business Leaders Conclave at Katmandu, Nepal.
