Ph.D. in Physical Sciences from the University of Zaragoza, Spain and Ph.D. in Asian and African Studies, Chinese specialty at The College of Mexico. He was a full-time professor at the Technological Institute of Monterrey, Monterrey campus, between January 2003 and July 2011. There he taught several professional, master and doctorate-level courses in his areas of specialty (science studies and Asian studies): History of Science, Philosophy of Science, Theory of Knowledge, Asia Pacific Regional Scene, Art and Culture in Asia.

During his stay at the Technological Institute of Monterrey, he was coordinator of the PhD in Humanistic Studies, specialty of Science and Culture, a program included in the CONACYT PNPC. Currently, in addition to his responsibilities in the CEAA master's and doctoral program, he continues to direct doctoral theses at the Technological Institute of Monterrey and at the Pan-American University as an external professor. His academic work also includes acting as a judge for several international magazines, as well as for CONACYT and the Scientific and Technological Consultative Forum, A.C. Several years ago, he obtained accreditation from the Spanish Government's National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation as a research professor. At the Center for Asian and African Studies he was Coordinator of Publications and Director of the Journal of Asian and African Studies for the period 2016-2018.
