She holds a Master's degree in Asian and African Studies from El Colegio de México and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She is a professor at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the UNAM and in the International Relations program at the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro. She is a member of the Latin American Observatory of Geopolitics of the Institute of Economic Research of the UNAM and a collaborator of the Program of Studies on Asia and Africa (PUEAA). She has been a speaker at various events, including the "2nd International Colloquium on African Studies. Migration, Security and Inequalities" organized by PUEAA, Boston University and UNAM South Africa, and the V Conference of Strategic Studies "Geopolitics in Conflict and an International Order in Transition" of the International Center for International Politics in Havana, Cuba. Among her most recent articles are " Women in Africa: genealogies of violence", in Coordenadas 2050 of the Coordination of Humanities of the UNAM and "Violence against women: analysis of three recent African novels" in the Revista Páginas de Argentina.
