Doctor and Master in Anthropology (IIA and FFyL-UNAM). Member of the SNII, Level I. Researcher attached to CEIICH-UNAM, Director of Programa Universitario de Estudios de la Diversidad Cultural y la Interculturalidad-UNAM. She is a member of the Mexican Academy of Anthropological Sciences, the Editorial Committee of the PUEAA-UNAM, the Research Networks on Family, the Interuniversity Network of Higher Education and Indigenous and Afro-descendant Peoples in Latin America, and the United Nations Network on Migration. Professor of the transversal subject "México, Nación Multicultural", teaches the sessions " La nación multicultural mexicana " and " Migración indígena" (UNAM) and professor in the subject “Cultura e identidad" (FCPyS-UNAM).
