She holds a PhD in Sociology, a master's and bachelor's degree in Psychology, and is a specialist in gender studies, sexuality and higher education. She is a tenured researcher and has served as the director of the Center for Research and Gender Studies at UNAM. She is the Coordinator of the project Institutionalization and Mainstreaming of the Gender Perspective at UNAM is a founding coordinator of the National Network of Higher Education Institutions: Pathways for Gender Equality (RENIES - Equality). She was awarded the Emulies Award 2017, for her professional career and her contributions to gender equality policies in higher education institutions, Presea Hermila Galindo 2016, in the category of Science, Research and Dissemination, granted by the Honorable Legislative Assembly of the Federal District; awarded with the Margherita von Brentano Award 2013 by the Free University of Berlin. Teacher, lecturer and speaker (national and international). Evaluator of research projects and academic articles. Among her main publications: “Trajectories of women. Technical-professional education and work in Mexico” (2017); “Gender order in higher education: an interdisciplinary approach” (2016); “Intruders in the University” (2013) and “Transversalization of the gender perspective in higher education. Conceptual and practical problems” (2011).
