Full-time academic at the Faculty of Economics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), and Doctoral Candidate in Economics at the Institute of Economic Research. She earned her undergraduate degree in Economics, and Specialization in History of Economic Thought at the Faculty of Economics; and her master´s degree in Urbanism at the Faculty of Architecture. The teaching and research activities that she has carried out are oriented towards economic development with an emphasis on the urban and regional aspects due to her interest in understanding the changes in the different aspects of the interaction between society and space. She has taught courses on History of Economic Thought, Public Finance, Economic Development, Theories and Policies of Regional and Urban Development, and Theories of Economic Growth and Development. She has worked on the creation and updating of study plans and programs in the areas of her competence. She has organized and promoted various activities of academic diffusion on different development topics. Currently, she is the Academic Secretary of the University Program of Development Studies at UNAM.
