He is a Professor and Researcher of Japanese Literature at the Center for Asian and African Studies, El Colegio de México. He was also a professor and researcher at the Faculty of Letters at Waseda University in Tokyo, where he completed his PhD with a dissertation on the relationship between Japanese and Latin American literature. He holds a Master’s degree in Asia and Africa with a specialization in Japan from El Colegio de México and a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Literatures from the University of Buenos Aires. He has translated several authors from Japanese to Spanish, including Enchi Fumiko (The Waiting Years, Chai Publishing, 2025), Hōjō Tamio (Correspondence with Yasunari Kawabata, También el Caracol Publishing, 2025; The First Night of Life, También el Caracol Publishing, 2024), Ango Sakaguchi (Ango Sakaguchi, frases and essays, Evaristo, 2023) and Hagiwara Sakutarō (Blue Cat, Noctámbula Publishing, 2021), among others.
