He studied Chemistry at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Subsequently, he completed postgraduate studies in Japan in Pharmaceutical Chemical Sciences at the University of Tokyo, through the MEXT Scholarship (Monbukagakusho Shougakukin), granted by the Government of Japan. He currently serves as Vice President of Innovation and Development of Neolpharma Pharmaceutical Group, where he covers from the development of active ingredients and generic drugs, to innovation projects through the link with the academic sector. He is also a member and advisor of the National Association of Drug Manufacturers A.C., ANAFAM. Member of the Mexican Association of Pharmaceutical Laboratories A.C., AMELAF. Member of the National Chamber of the Pharmaceutical Industry, CANIFARMA. Member of the American Chamber of Commerce and SwissCham Mexico. In recent years, he joined the Consortium of Innovative Scientists in charge of COVID19, an initiative created by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to address the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic in Mexico.
