General information

The main objective of the Diploma Course on African Studies is to create the opportunity to extend the knowledge about Africa to students, teachers, and the public interest in, among others, the connection that African has with the world.

Mexico has strong African roots, and this heritage has brought great wealth to the country. Today, in the global framework that we live in, we must give it the space it deserves. Besides inserting the studies on Africa is a central project at UNAM and a fundamental part for understanding the global events from all fields of knowledge. The UNAM is currently working on research and exchange activities with the main universities of that region.

Registrations
Details of the registration process
  1. Before requesting your registration process, please ask us any additional information and doubts you might have to the mail: educon.pueaa@unam.mx.
  2. After this, please confirm your interest in enrolling as a student with a mail to the same address.
  3. Once your registration is confirmed, in a lapse no longer than 3 business days, we will send an email with the referenced deposit document to make your payment and a brief registration form.
  4. Print the payment form and go to any BBVA bank branch to deposit before the deadline.
  5. Once you have made the payment, please mail us the original proof of payment with your name and signature on the back, and a copy of your official ID.
  6. In case of requiring an invoice, please notify us at the same moment of presenting your proof of payment, along with the fiscal data, to carry it out. OTHERWISE, THE INVOICE WILL NOT BE MADE ON LATER DATES.

Fees

Recovery fee: $ 12,000.00 MXN

Payment in a single exhibition: $ 9,600.00 MXN

Accreditation requirements
  • 80% attendance.
  • Cover the recovery fee.
  • Participate in the Final Evaluation.

Evaluation

  • A written work will be delivered - The subject of the essays will be chosen according to the guidelines proposed by the coordinators of the modules.

Evaluation

Para acreditar el curso será necesaria la entrega de un ensayo final correspondiente al módulo de su preferencia. El ensayo deberá cumplir con los siguientes requisitos:

a) Extensión: 2,000 a máximo 3,000 palabras incluyendo bibliografía.

b) Contenido: introducción, desarrollo, conclusiones y referencias. En la introducción deberá plantearse el objetivo del trabajo y planteamiento del problema. Las referencias deberán ser académicas (journals, libros, documentos oficiales gubernamentales, y se deberá evitar referencias que no hayan sido sometidas a revisión de pares, así como blogsywikis)

c) Deberá presentarse en letra Arial, tamaño de fuente 12 puntos con interlineado de 1.5.

d) Deberá indicar a qué módulo corresponde, pues los trabajos serán evaluados por el coordinador de módulo correspondiente.
