He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the School of Accounting and Administration of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and a Master's degree in Administration from the same school. He has completed the following courses: Tax Contributions; Administration applied to micro, small and medium-sized companies; and Strategic Cost Management. He was recognized as a Certified Public Accountant by the National Association of Faculties and Schools of Accounting and Administration.

He is a full-time tenured "C" Professor; he holds the stimulus PRIDE category "C". Within the UNAM, he has served as Coordinator of Diploma courses in the areas of accounting, tax and finance at the Juriquilla, Querétaro branch of the FCA; General Coordinator of the television series "Ethics in Business"; Private Secretary to the Director of the FCA; Secretary of University Relations and Extension, and currently serves as General Secretary.

He has an academic seniority of 16 years. He currently teaches the subjects: Trends and Innovations in Accounting and Seminar on Ethics in Business and the Environment of Organizations. His lines of research are: Accounting, Finance and Business Ethics. He has been responsible for institutional research projects on Business Ethics and is a member of the Articulation Network of the General Directorate of Academic Staff Affairs (DGAPA). He is co-author of the book “Análisis Bursátil” (“Stock Market Analysis”) and has written articles for specialized journals in the field of Public Accounting.

For his outstanding counseling he received in 2007 the "Dr. Gustavo Baz Prada" Social Service Award; he was a member of the jury that qualified the " 1st Santander Award for Business Innovation" (2005) on behalf of the National Autonomous University of Mexico; he promoted the First Cultural Festival (2011) and the First Sports Week (2014) of the FCA-UNAM. He achieved the highest terminal efficiency of the scholarship program called PRONABES at UNAM during several periods; he managed to obtain the "Premier Cup" in 2014 for the highest number of sports triumphs at the National Autonomous University of Mexico; since 2005 he has promoted massive recruitment events within the FCA; he designed an induction course for new generations entering to study at the FCA, which has been considered a model program within the schools and faculties of the UNAM.

He has been a speaker, lecturer and moderator in universities and professional organizations at a national and international level, emphasizing his participation in congresses, forums, master conferences and panels.

In 2006, he was declared "Distinguished Guest" by the City of Veracruz, for his participation in the celebration of the 93rd National Convention Assembly of Public Accounting.
