PhD in Applied Linguistics from the University of Alicante. She is currently a researcher at the Hermeneutics Seminary of the Institute of Philological Research of the UNAM and as a researcher has devoted herself to the applications of semiotics to literature and the arts, with Persian culture and art as the center of her studies. Her research interests include literary hermeneutics, symbol hermeneutics and cultural hermeneutics. She is a subject teacher of the Universal Literature subject at the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature of the UNAM. Among her publications are: "Repetition and iconicity", Feeling the word: linguistic and literary contexts of the metaphorical icon and "Heroes and antiheroes in the Shahnamé de Ferdousí: a mythical-ethical vision". She is currently a member of the International Association for Cognitive Semiotics (IACS), the Association for Researching and Applying Metaphor (RaAM), the Mexican Society for the Study of Religions (SMER) and the Association for Iranian Studies (AIS).
