Graduated from the UNAM’s University Center for Cinematographic Studies (CUEC), where he specialized in documentary and cinematography; nowadays, he is a professor of Cinematography and Documentary in this institution at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Besides, he was a student of Werner Herzog at the Rogue Film School 2014.

Director of photography of the documentary feature films "Azul Intangible" and "Nararachi", the fiction feature films “Contar el Amor" and "Vladimir en mi", as well as the additional photography of "Maquinaria Panamericana". He has been the cinematographer of the Mexican section of the Visual History project of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

As a photographer and documentary filmmaker, he has participated in the television series "Tocando vidas" for Televisión Azteca; "Pasión en Movimiento" and "Tocando tierra" for Channel 22, and "El Universal. Un gran diario, un centenario" and "Sensacional de Diseño Mexicano" "of Channel 11. He has worked in several television productions for Discovery Network, MTV, Milenio, Televisa, FOX, and OPMA.
