Rosamaría Villarello

She holds a PhD in Political and Social Sciences with a specialization in International Relations. Professor in the Doctoral Program of Political and Social Sciences. Editor of the University Library Magazine (DGBSDI) of the UNAM. Her lines of work include regional studies (Africa, America, Europe), Mexican foreign policy, and education and culture. Member of the Mexican Association of International Studies; of the Permanent Seminar of African Studies of the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences (FCPyS) and Coordinator of the Diploma in African Studies (and module V) of the University Program of Asian and African Studies (PUEAA-UNAM). Among her latest publications we can find: "A new vision of Africa through sports culture"; "The funerals of an iconic man for African Unity (Mandela)”, and "Mandela: on the 50th anniversary of the Organization of African Unity" FCPyS-UNAM. The most recent one in 2020 is: "Blackness in the African decolonization process" in Coordenadas 2050 of Cuadernos de la Coordinación de Humanidades-UNAM.
