He is currently studying the PhD in Administration Sciences at the School of Accounting and Administration of the UNAM. Master’s in economics from the Graduate Studies Division of the Faculty of Economics of UNAM and bachelor’s in Business Administration from the Metropolitan Autonomous University-Xochimilco Branch. He has attended different courses, the most outstanding being the "Diploma in Asian Studies" imparted by the University Seminar on Asian Studies (today the University Program for Asian and African Studies) of the UNAM and the "Diploma in Derived Financial Instruments" taught by the Mexican Derivatives Exchange (Mexder) and the Tecnológico de Monterrey and the Mexican Stock Exchange. His current lines of research are: economic development and financial development in Asia-Pacific, foreign direct investment, financialization and global production networks in the world economy, with special emphasis on the pharmaceutical industry in India.
