He holds a PhD in Communication and Professor of International Relations at the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City. He studied International Relations at UPAEP (Mexico) and later specialized in Korean Studies at El Colegio de México (Mexico). He is co-founder of the Mexican Circle of Korean Studies (CMEC), member of the Eurasia Study Group (GESE), member of the North American Cultural Diplomacy Initiative (NACDI) and collaborator in the think tank Globalitika. He has worked as a political advisor in the Mexican Congress and in the academic cooperation project between Mexico and Germany, "Entre Espacios". His research interests are: public and cultural diplomacy of diasporas and non-state actors; gender issues and cyberspace; communication and international relations. With a focus on Mexico and the Koreas.
