She is a Full-time "A" Professor and director of the National School of Linguistics and Translation. She holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from Macquarie University, Australia and a master's degree in Applied Linguistics with honors from UNAM. She has taken several refresher courses in her field both in Mexico and abroad. She has taught in the Department of English, in teacher training and the Bachelor's Degree in Applied Linguistics at ENALLT, as well as in the Postgraduate Program in Linguistics at UNAM, where she is a member of the doctoral tutoring committee, thesis director and exam synodal. She has coordinated and participated in several research projects. She is the author and co-author of books, articles and didactic material, and has participated in national and international academic events. She has been a member of different juries, councils, review committees and editorial committees, and has received several awards from the University and other institutions of higher education for her academic work.
