She holds a Master of Science degree in Conflict Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. She holds a degree in International Relations from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and a law degree from the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo.

In her professional career, she stands out for having participated in the Peacekeeping Training Programme (UNITAR) in support of the Africa Contingency and Operations Training and Assistance (ACOTA) program of the United States Department of State, from 2016 to 2017. She was Associate Reporting Officer, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Turkey Refugee and north-west Syria Cross Border Operations from 2017 to 2018.

She served as Associate Reporting Officer Inter Agency Unit/ Reporting Officer of the Inter Agency Unit and the Working Group for Refugees and Migrants (WGRM), UNHCR Peru, from 2019 to date.

During her professional career she has sought to have a multi and transdisciplinary and cross-sectoral field of "specialization" that allows her to have a more comprehensive view of the issues she observes through her professional experiences such as understanding the role of "masculinity values", gender roles, culture, political economy, natural resources (natural capital) as conflict-drivers during conflict analysis. During her experience in Peru and as a result of a strong personal interest she has started to specialize more in the relationship between forced displacement, environmental degradation, the impact of climate change, the role of sustainability in the humanitarian-development-peace nexus to build a link in practice between environmental and social sciences.
