She has a Master's degree in Asian and African Studies with a specialization in Africa from the Colegio de México with the thesis "Gender and memory in post-apartheid South Africa: the construction of the notion of victim in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (1995-1998)". She was a tutor in distance education for the Specialization and Master's Degree in Public Policy and Gender at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (Flacso). She was also a research fellow in the Integral Project for the Training of High Level Human Resources in Gender Equity and Violence against Women between 2009 and 2010. Among her most outstanding publications are: "From victims to citizens? The Production of Subjectivities in the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission" in the book "At the Crossroads of Gender and Citizenship. Political Subjects, Rights, Government, Nation and Political Action" coordinated by Monica Ines Cejas and Ana Lau Jaiven in 2011. There is also the article "Normalizing lesbian existence" from 2016 and the chapter "We are fighting for the right to exist. Disruption and creativity in the everyday production of citizenship in Cape Town" from the book "South Africa post-apartheid" coordinated by Monica Inés Cejas in 2017.
