Professor-Researcher at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) in the International Relations Department. She holds a B.A. in History from the University of Havana. Master in Asian and African Studies from the Colegio de México, specializing in Africa and PhD Candidate at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the UNAM. She belongs to the Academic Body "Foreign Policy and International Cooperation" at BUAP. She is a member of the Network of Africanists of Latin America (REDAAL) and her lines of research are related to historical issues, integration, cooperation and foreign policy in both Africa and Latin America. Among his publications are: Breve Historia de Ruanda y Burundi desde la época precolonial hasta los años noventa, BUAP- Juan Pablos Editores, Mexico, 2013 and co-editor of the book Los BRICS y el discurso del nacionalismo en el siglo XXI, Washington DC, Westphalia Press, 2015, among others.
