Bachelor's Degree in International Relations, FCPyS-UNAM. Master's and PhD from the Graduate Program in Latin American Studies, UNAM. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences, thanks to the support granted by the General Directorate of Academic Staff Affairs (DGAPA) through the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program at UNAM (2015-2016). Participation in the research projects: "Africanos y afrodescendientes en México y el Caribe", Coordinated by Dr. Juan Manuel De la Serna Herrera (2009), and "Afroamérica. The Third Root", Coordinated by Dr. Luz María Martínez Montiel (2007-2008). She is currently a professor at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences, Center for International Relations.
