Manuel Pavón-Belizón

He is a PhD student at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), associate professor of Chinese-Spanish translation at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), and member of the ALTER research group (UOC). He holds a BA in Translation and Interpreting (French and Chinese) from the University of Granada and an MA in Chinese Studies from UPF. As part of his pre-doctoral research, he was a visiting researcher at Peking University. His areas of interest are the translation and circulation of Chinese cultural production, literature and the intellectual history of China in modern and contemporary times. Together with other colleagues, he is in charge of China translated and to be translated, an important website on Chinese literature and its translation into Spanish. He has translated several literary works into Spanish, including Fang Fang's novel La voz que permanece, published in Cuba, Mexico, Chile and other Latin American countries.
