Maguemati Wabgou

Professor Maguemati Wabgou holds a PhD in Sociology and Political Science from the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain) and a postdoctoral degree in Ethnic Studies from the Université de Montréal (Canada). His professional experience includes teaching and research activities. Currently, he is an associate professor in the Department of Political Science at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Bogotá: Faculty of Law, Political and Social Sciences). He is the leader of the Migration and Displacement Research Group of the Faculty of Law, Political and Social Sciences of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. His academic and research interests cover topics such as Africa; International Politics of Africa; Peace Processes in Africa: Conflicts and Conflict Resolution in Africa (experiences, mechanisms and institutions); Extractivism in Africa; International Relations; Relations between Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean; International Migrations, Displacements; Migrations and Labor Market; Migrations and Social Change; Multiculturalism and Identities; Multicultural States and Intercultural Citizenships; Relations and Intersections Class, Race, Ethnicity, Gender and Social Networks; African Diaspora in the Americas; Negritude and Afrodescendancy. He has several publications on topics related to his field of interest and research.
