Indira Añorve

Chinese Language Professor at American Technological University (UTECA) in Mexico City. She received her Master’s degree and Ph.D. from El Colegio de México (COLMEX) at the Center for the Study of Asia and Africa, specializing in Chinese Literature, both Ancient and Contemporary. Her Master’s thesis involved the translation and analysis of a short story by Feng Menglong, writer of Ming Dinasty. Her Ph.D. dissertation focused on contemporary Chinese literature written by female authors, specifically Zhang Jie and Zhang Xinxin, analized from a gender perspective. She also studied Chinese Literature at Beijing Language and Culture University and Renmin University of China. She co-translated the novel Emerald by Zhang Jie, a contemporary Chinese writer. And she also translated, individually, short literary Chinese texts.
