Filippo Costantini

Sinologist, professor-researcher with extensive international experience. D. in Humanities from the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona, Spain; Master in Asian and African Studies from the University of Bologna, Italy and a degree in Oriental Languages and Cultures from the University of Urbino, Italy. He completed a postdoctorate at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. For more than ten years she has taught undergraduate and/or graduate classes to students of different nationalities. He has the ability to teach in Chinese, Spanish, English and Italian. He is the author of two books, has published a dozen research articles in indexed journals in European and Latin American countries. He is a peer reviewer of national and international academic journals. His research focus is the history of philosophy, religion and culture of ancient and pre-modern China, using primary sources to a considerable extent (in classical Chinese). In addition, he is a specialist in ancient Chinese music, and a player of the guqin(古琴), China's oldest stringed instrument and known as the "instrument of Confucius". He is currently a visiting professor at the School of Philosophy at the University of Costa Rica.
