Farzaneh Pirouz

Ph.D. in Islamic art and architecture from Oxford University, she is a professor and researcher in art history at the same university and a member of the Barakat Fellowship. She has published numerous works on the history of Persian-Islamic aesthetics and has curated several exhibitions on the subject. Her latest book, From Baghdad to the Potters of Puebla, reflects many years of research on pottery from the Islamic period in present-day Baghdad and her influence on the ceramics of the world, including Puebla talavera.
