He holds a PhD in Political Science and a Master's Degree in International Relations, both from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He holds a degree in Spanish Language from the University of Conakry and a degree in Law from the Universidad de Oriente de Santiago de Cuba. He has a research stay at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales de Paris (2011). He is currently a lecturer at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (UAEM), Texcoco campus. Lecturer at the Tecnológico de Monterrey campus Estado de México, with the subjects of international perspective and regional scenario of Africa (August 2012 to June 2014). Member of the Admissions Commission in the evaluation process of applicants to enter the Doctoral Plan in Political and Social Sciences with disciplinary field in International Relations of the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the UNAM where he is also director and reader of doctoral theses doctorales.
