Angélica Velázquez

She holds a PhD (2016) and master's degree (2009) in Art History from UNAM and a bachelor's degree in Art History (1994) from the Universidad Iberoamericana. She has a specialization in Women's Studies from the Interdisciplinary Program of Women's Studies at El Colegio de México. She joined the Instituto de Investigaciones Estéticas in 1991 where she is currently a Full-Time “B” Researcher in the Department of 19th Century Art. She is a member of the National System of Researchers at level I. She was designated director of the Instituto de Investigaciones Estéticas, for the 2021-2025 term.
