Alba Carosio

Ph.D. in Social Sciences and Master’s on Philosophy. Researcher on Feminist Studies and Latin American thought. Her works focus on feminism, research on social processes and Latin America and the Caribbean studies. She’s Director of the Task Force: CLACSO Feminism, resistances and emancipation, from which she has been part of for more than 13 years. Currently, she is Director of Revista Venezolana de Estudios de la Mujer published by the Woman Studies Center of the Central University of Venezuela (CEM UCV), she was Director and Coordinator of Research of the Center. Full professor at the Central University of Venezuela, she has also directed of several postgraduate thesis. Researcher at the Romulos Gallegos Latin American Studies Center (CELARG) and International Center Miranda (CIM). Visiting professor at the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO); at the Gender Justice and Public Politics Diploma of UNAM and Fellow of CALAS. She has been invited as speaker at numerous conferences of academic institutions of Latin America and the Caribbean.
