Korean Government Scholarship Program for Engineering Students from Latin America
Period:
July 8(Mon.) - August 9(Fri.), 2019 / 5 weeks
Number of student participants: 20 students
Application Procedure:
1) Application documents submission: April 12th (Fri.)
2) Results announcement & Booking the interview date: April 13th (Sat.) to 15th (Mon.)
3) Skype Interview: April 16th(Tue.) through 23rd (Tue.)
4) Selection 24 candidates from CNU and nominate them to the Korean government: April 26th (Fri.)
5) Final 20 students will be chosen from NIIED(National Institute of International Education): May 15th(Wed.)
Required Documents:
1) Completed Application Form (attached)
2) A copy of the passport information page
3) Proof of enrollment from currently enrolled university
4) Original sealed transcript from currently enrolled university
5) Self-introduction and Research plan (attached)
6) A letter of Recommendation from an Academic Source

Programs:
- Lecture on “Introduction to Materials Science and Engineering”
- Lab mentoring
- Korean cultural excursions
: Korean food making, Asian Cultural Center, Korean folk village
- Company visits
: KIA motors, POSCO, Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, CNU Robot Institute

Eligibility:
- Majoring in Engineering at a university in Central/South America
- 2.5 GPA or better on a 4.0 scale
- Being fluent in English (and able to document their fluency, if applicable)
Participation Fee:
Free of Charge
Scholarships will be provided to the final selected all 20 participants.

- Tuition, Room and board, and all cultural excursions
- Medical insurance
