We invite early-to-mid-career faculty members in your university to apply for Ph.D. study, hosted by School of International Relations and Public Affairs (SIRPA), Fudan University, China.

We offer full scholarships to qualified scholars currently on a faculty position in universities around the world, especially in third-word countries and Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) countries.


Qualifications:

  • Currently holding a position in an accredited higher education institution (universities, colleges, institutes, etc.)
  • Having already involved in university-level teaching and research
  • Holding a master degree or equivalent in the related academic disciplines
  • Securing a minimum of two-year leave from the serving institution, with employment commitment from the serving institution upon completion of study

Specifications

Available fields of study include politics, public administration, and international relations

Degree offered upon completion is Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science

Duration of study includes two years of coursework plus one year of thesis writing. An extension of one year is available

The student is expected to study full-time on campus during the first two years of study

Language

Both Chinese- and English-taught courses are offered, and students with a sufficient level Chinese competence are encouraged to take full advantages of courses offered in Chinese.

Students choosing to enter the English course should obtain either and minimum TOEFL score of 90 or a minimum IESLT score of 7.0.

Student choosing to enter the Chinese course should obtain a score of HSK-5 250 or HSK-6 180.

Funding:

A number of full scholarships are available each year, secured from the Chinese Government Scholarship program through Fudan University
